DIGITAL SEASON FAQ

HOW DO I ACCESS MY DIGITAL OPERA?
After purchasing your event ticket, you will receive an email confirmation. Closer to the event date, you will receive another email with a private event link to watch your digital opera on our new YouTube channel, Through the Opera Glass (a partnership with our friends at Baltimore Concert Opera). The videos will begin at the advertised broadcast times, and you will have a 4 hour window to watch. (See more info below.)
If you do not receive an email with your private event link by the hour before the broadcast premiere time, please contact us at boxoffice@operade.org. (Don’t forget to check your spam folder!)
Digital exclusives for members: OD members at the $250+ level now have access to exclusive digital programs. Members have been emailed a link and password. If you did not receive an email, please contact us at info@operade.org.
HOW CAN I WATCH?
Sunday Spotlights will be streamed via our new YouTube channel, Through the Opera Glass. Members-only digital exclusives are available for streaming here. A password is required to access this page. (If you are a member and did not receive your password, please email info@operade.org.) Watch on any web-enabled device (computer, laptop, tablet, or Smart phone) at the designated times — just click the provided private event links and press PLAY. Digital exclusives are available for viewing at your convenience until the posted streaming end date.
Watch your videos on your TV: You can enhance your digital viewing experience by watching with the YouTube app on your Smart TV or by connecting your personal device to your TV via an HDMI cable. Just plug one end of an HDMI cable into your TV and the other into your computer. Once connected, navigate to the correct HDMI input stream to see your computer mirrored on the TV. Then, click your private event link to start your video.
DO I HAVE TO WATCH AT THE PREMIERE DATE & TIME?
Sunday Spotlights will begin at the advertised broadcast dates and times. However, the private event link remains active for 4 hours after the streaming premiere. So, if you can’t watch at the premiere time or miss part of the program, you have a 4-hour window to watch (or re-watch!) the entire show. You can also watch an encore airing at the advertised re-broadcast date/time. Digital exclusives for members are available for viewing at your convienence until the posted streaming end date.
WHAT CONTENT IS AVAILABLE?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Tickets for most of our digital programs are $15 per household. Your ticket purchase directly supports OperaDelaware and our artists! Package deals and special pricing for households experiencing hardship are also available. There is also an option to Pay Opera Forward by purchasing tickets for households in need; see our Box Office page for details.
Patrons with credits from last season’s cancelled shows can also use them to purchase digital performances — just contact us at boxoffice@operade.org.
Digital exclusives are free for members at the $250+ level.
WILL THERE BE SUPERTITLES?
Some programs will have supertitles in the videos, others will have downloadable PDFs of translations, but we'll never leave you in the dark! Supplementary materials will be emailed/posted before the show premieres.
CAN I EXCHANGE MY TICKET IF MY PLANS CHANGE?
Digital Performance Exchange Policy:
Exchanges will be offered for digital performances up to 24 hours before the air date and time.
Digital Performance during COVID-19: Ticketholder Policy:
Ticketholders are prohibited from sharing broadcast access with anyone outside their household.
Dates and times of broadcast are subject to change if the recording process becomes delayed due to COVID protocol. If a delay occurs, we will communicate to all ticketholders and tickets will be honored for the new broadcast date.
