The Ethel L. Sayre Recital Hall

The Ethel L. Sayre Recital Hall at the OperaDelaware Studios is the perfect place to hold a recital, recording session, rehearsal, lessons, art show, birthday gathering, cocktail party, or wedding reception. With floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the Christina River, it is truly a breathtaking space. We now offer state-of-the-art lighting, recording, and livestreaming capabilities.

The full measurements of the Ethel L. Sayre Recital Hall are 37 feet by 56 feet. The space features views of the Christina River, hardwood floors, exposed brick, and high ceilings. In a performance setting, the space can hold 150 audience members. In an event with tables and chairs, we recommend a maximum of 100 people.

We have many extras to offer to customize your event, including: Customizable lighting, speaker system and microphones, professional recording equipment, live streaming capabilities,projector and monitor screens,staging platforms, tablecloths and linens, and more.

Highlights include a Steinway & Sons Model B Grand Piano, microphones installed and specifically designed for piano, vocal, and instrumental recordings, a state-of-the-art stereo and digital multitrack recording system with audio post production capabilities with multi-camera recording, live streaming utilizing an HD video system that convert to any platform, and post-production editing capabilities.

Our exclusive recording partner is Weston Sound, who can help you achieve the recording you need. The space also features customizable stage lighting in a dramatic setting, with an end product that’s sure to impress!

The base rental price is $250-$450 per hour, with set up and tear down at no extra charge. We offer many add-ons, so please let us know what you have in mind! We offer affordable rates for non-profits and long-term rentals that include rehearsals and performances.
