Artist Spotlight | Audrey Babcock

Meet the multi-talented mezzo behind this season's electrifying BEYOND CARMEN

How you know her: An OD fan favorite, Babcock appeared in 2015's La tragédie de Carmen.

Critical acclaim: Thrilling audiences around the globe as Bizet's infamous seductress, critics have called her performances "a spellbinding tour de force" (Salt Lake Tribune) and "sexy and sensuous" (Opera World).

Why Beyond Carmen is a must-see: Babcock conceived and wrote this electrifying homage to Carmen that weaves legends of the Old World into a 21st-century musical tapestry, spanning generations and genres, from classical to tango—medieval to modern.

(Nov. 15-17 in The Black Box Theater at the OD Studios. Tickets go on sale August 1.)*
